The Boulder International Film Festival brings films and filmmakers from around the world to Boulder for a four-day celebration of the art of cinema. BIFF consistently features a wide variety of films from local, national, and international filmmakers, including many that have gone on to significant box-office success and multiple Oscar nominations. Adding to the BIFF experience are events featuring nationally renowned chefs, filmmaker happy hours, multiple opening night galas, talented musicians and much more. The Festival attracts more than 25,000 film enthusiasts, media and industry each year. BIFF has been proud to host and celebrate some of film’s most talented people, including Jane Lynch, Javier Bardem, Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, James Franco, Shirley MacLaine, Alan Arkin, Martin Sheen, Oliver Stone, William H. Macy, Peter Fonda, Chevy Chase, David Crosby, Emilio Estevez, Jakob Dylan, and many more.

State of the State: 2026
STATE OF THE STATE: 2026
The Colorado Film and Video Association (CFVA) hosts its annual State of the State event to inform, engage, and connect Colorado’s film and video community. This signature gathering brings together industry professionals from across the state to examine the current landscape and future outlook of Colorado’s film and media sector. The program features industry updates, panel discussions, and networking opportunities that foster collaboration and celebrate the community’s collective achievements.

On February 12, 2026, the event will take place at the Sie FilmCenter, House Theater 2, in Denver. The evening will begin with Doors Opening at 6:30 p.m., followed by the main program at 7:00 p.m. and a Happy Hour in the SieFilm Center lobby to follow.
The State of the State provides a valuable forum for industry professionals to connect, share insights, and stay informed about key developments shaping Colorado’s film and video industry.

Through live demonstrations, practical exercises, and insider insights from Devon’s work across film and television, attendees will leave with sharpened technical skills, a deeper understanding of the unit stills role, and the confidence to contribute essential imagery that drives marketing, festivals, and press.

SeriesFest Special Event: Universal's Devil in Disguise
SeriesFest, the leading non-profit Television festival, is partnering with Universal Television Group and Littleton Road Productions for a FREE screening of the new hit series Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy.
As part of a national tour, the series is engaging college students and local industry members to spark conversations about how storytelling can drive social impact and activism.

Both are accomplished Television Creatives and SeriesFest Advisory Board members committed to exploring urgent social themes, including toxic masculinity, systemic failures, mental health, and suicide prevention.

About the Series:
The series is fictionalized, recounting John Wayne Gacy’s crimes while highlighting systemic failures that left 33 young men’s disappearances unchecked. No violence or triggering material is shown—the focus is on the psychological impact and victims’ stories, honoring their memory and encouraging discussions around justice and accountability.
